# Latency and speed

> Latency and speed characteristics of ProxyScrape Dedicated ISP proxies.

## Latency

Latency depends on how close you are to the ISP server — the closer you are, the faster the connection. In general you can expect latency in the range of **50–400 ms**.

## Speed

**There is no set speed cap on Dedicated ISP proxies (Mbps).** This is the main advantage of the product and the point we most want to highlight: you get the full throughput the network can deliver.

  The only exception is a fair-use safeguard: if your usage is **sustained above \~100 Mbps**, we may apply rate limiting to keep the network stable and fair for all users. This is not a fixed per-connection speed limit — normal usage is never capped.
