# Can I use the proxies with a dynamic IP?

> Using proxies when your IP changes; IP authentication and dynamic IPs.

## Premium proxies

Yes, you can use the [Premium](https://proxyscrape.com/products/premium) proxies with a dynamic IP. If you are using username and password authentication, your IP address does not matter. If you are using IP authentication, you will need to update your IP in the [dashboard](https://dashboard.proxyscrape.com/v2/services/premium/ip-authentication/) each time it changes. After updating, please allow up to 10 minutes for the new IP to synchronize.

## Dedicated proxies

Yes, you can use the [Dedicated](https://proxyscrape.com/products/dedicated-proxies) proxies with a dynamic IP. However, since dedicated proxies only support IP authentication, you will need to update your IP in the [dashboard](https://dashboard.proxyscrape.com/v2/services/dedicated/ip-authentication/) each time it changes. After updating, please allow up to 10 minutes for the new IP to synchronize.

IP changes typically occur after restarting your device or router.

## Residential proxies

The [residential proxies](https://proxyscrape.com/products/residential-proxies) work with username & password authentication. You will have no issues using these proxies with a dynamic IP.
