# Browser extension

> Route your browser traffic through your ProxyScrape proxies using the browser extension.

The ProxyScrape browser extension lets you route your browser's traffic through your proxies without changing your operating system's network settings. It works with any of our datacenter proxy products ([Premium](https://proxyscrape.com/products/premium) and [Dedicated](https://proxyscrape.com/products/dedicated-proxies)) as well as [Residential](https://proxyscrape.com/products/residential-proxies) proxies.

## Install the extension

    Install the ProxyScrape extension from your browser's extension store (available for Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Edge, and Brave).

  <Step title="Pin it to your toolbar">
    Pin the extension so its icon stays visible next to the address bar for quick access.

## Add a proxy

  <Step title="Open the extension">
    Click the ProxyScrape icon in your browser toolbar.

  <Step title="Enter your proxy details">
    Add the proxy's **host**, **port**, and **protocol** (HTTP or SOCKS5). You can find these in your dashboard:

    * **Dedicated:** [Proxy List](https://dashboard.proxyscrape.com/v2/services/dedicated/proxy-list/)

  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your credentials">
    If you use username and password authentication, enter your username and password. If you use IP authentication instead, make sure your current IP is authenticated first — see [How to authenticate my IP?](/proxies/how-to-authenticate-my-ip).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable the proxy">
    Toggle the proxy on. Your browser traffic now routes through the selected proxy.

  The extension only affects traffic from the browser it is installed in. Other applications on your device continue to use your normal connection.

  You can save multiple proxies in the extension and switch between them without re-entering their details.
